Hand-dyed Yarn Care
Hand-dyed Yarn Care
Due to the nature of hand-dyed, speckled yarn and fiber, each skein may differ slightly both within and between skeins. Alternating skeins is highly recommended, especially when working larger projects with multiple skeins of the same colorway.
I do my best to capture the true color of the yarn in natural lighting conditions, however colors may vary due to differences in lighting and between screens.
Each skein/braid is dyed using professional, acid-fast dyes and is rinsed to remove excess dye. These dyes are wash-fast, however some bleeding may still occur with the first few washes depending on your water chemistry. We recommend only soaking projects for 15-20 minutes (avoid prolonged soaking periods, especially with light + dark color combos) and you may want to use a color catcher sheet when blocking the darkest colors and purples/reds/pinks. If you water is hard (more basic), it is also recommended that you add a small amount of vinegar to water to avoid bleeding.
Hand washing yarn in cool to luke warm temperature water is recommended. Lay flat to dry.
This yarn comes from a pet-friendly household. Please keep any potential allergies in mind when ordering.
